WUNZ Apparel in Action is a small batch apparel social enterprise committed to elevating women and the crucial roles they play in bringing balance back to a lopsided world.
Our core item, the Supersuit, is a high-fashion jumpsuit designed with a tiny red cape on the back to celebrate women stepping into their superhuman skins. Made in the USA with super soft stretch cotton and a flattering cut for most all body types, this suit was built to make you feel your very best and to remind you that you are here to move mountains. This jumpsuit is the visual antidote to the fracturing of our progress – we are not going backwards – to the contrary, we are blazing the path of a future where women are center stage. Our world needs us like never before.
We work with the Los Angeles Mission helping women coming through recovery by teaching cutting and sewing through our workforce development program, Make It Work. We believe in the power of connection to transform our city into a healthy, safe, equitable, thriving model of how cities across the US can organize to change the homeless emergency. We bring together neighboring sectors including Skid Row, the Garment District, DTLA businesses, and the broader community to foster cross-sectional participation and tackle the deep economic inequities that drive the homeless crisis. Through Make It Work, we’re training women how to create simple items from deadstock fabric (fabric otherwise destined for landfill) - pillows, accessory bags, totes - to sell to surrounding businesses and online. Our goal is build a new workforce, with the help of existing manufacturing entities, to take on larger contracts for businesses and government. We’re not just about providing solutions; we're about building a community of care and collaboration that actively works toward healing our shared humanity.
